Summary

At the international IDET 2025 fair in Brno, the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic captured global attention with a groundbreaking presentation. In a public, non-commercial collaboration, norriv unveiled the very first AI holographic soldier inside its state-of-the-art Hologram Box, accompanied by a large-scale 12-fan holographic wall. The Hologram Box and AI Avatar are uniquely Slovak products, positioning the country as a digital leader in holographic technology and 3D holographic displays within the defense sector.

IDET 2025: A Global Stage for Defense Innovation

IDET ranks among the most important European events for defense, security, and innovation, annually attracting over 500 exhibitors from more than 30 countries. This year, the focus was on digitalization, artificial intelligence, and holographic projection. The Slovak pavilion, curated by the Ministry of Defence, boldly embraced these trends with a vision for the future of digital communication.

Project Vision

The collaboration between norriv and the Ministry of Defence was driven by a clear, ambitious goal: to demonstrate how advanced hologram applications can transform military communication and the presentation of Slovakia to both the professional and general public. The Hologram Box featured an interactive AI digital avatar of a Slovak soldier, capable of fluent communication in Slovak, Czech, English, German, as well as, for example, Chinese or Arabic. The large-scale 3D holographic wall visually brought to life military technology, national symbols, and dynamic scenes, making the pavilion a magnet for the entire fair.

The entire project was presented as a demo installation—an innovative showcase of modern technology capabilities without a commercial order or public procurement.

Hologram Box: A New Era of Digital Avatars

The norriv Hologram Box is a cutting-edge holographic display designed to project 3D holograms in vivid detail, even under challenging exhibition lighting conditions. At IDET 2025, the first AI holographic soldier in Slovakia debuted—a fully interactive digital avatar in a modern Slovak uniform.

This AI assistant, developed entirely by a Slovak team, welcomed visitors in Slovak, Czech, English, German, and, if necessary, could even communicate in Chinese or Arabic. The avatar provided information about the Slovak exhibitors in the joint pavilion and was able to present the Ministry of Defence and its mission in detail. Planned features for future project phases include meeting scheduling, program organization, and support for recruitment and onboarding—these will be implemented in upcoming commercial collaborations.

Holographic Wall: Maximum Visual Impact with 3D Projections

To deliver even greater visual impact, norriv installed a synchronized 12-fan holographic wall—one of the largest 3D holographic presentations at the event. This powerful system turned the pavilion into a sought-after location where holograms of military technology, insignias, and interactive stories floated in mid-air. The holographic wall offered the Ministry of Defence unrivaled flexibility and the ability to instantly adapt content to current needs, while its dynamic 3D visuals continuously attracted crowds.

Media Recognition and Expert Citations

The innovation in the Slovak pavilion did not go unnoticed. Organizers and professional media outlets named norriv’s AI holographic soldier and Hologram Box as highlights of the fair. According to official coverage:

"Without a doubt, the most captivating attraction in the Slovak pavilion is the holographic military assistant from norriv. Developed entirely in Slovakia—hardware and software—the assistant speaks multiple languages and wears a modern Slovak uniform, ushering in a new era of communication and recruitment. Its primary function is currently to help organize meetings at exhibitions, but in the future, it is expected to support the recruitment of new candidates for the Slovak Armed Forces.

Our goal is to reach the young generation in a modern and playful way,’ explains a norriv representative. ‘We believe that, thanks to advanced artificial intelligence and interactive holographic projection, we can present the army as a dynamic and technologically advanced environment with attractive career opportunities. Young people today seek innovation and personal experiences, and that is exactly what our assistant can offer."

Measurable Impact

For the Ministry of Defence, this installation marked a significant step toward modern digital communication with the public and potential recruits. The AI holographic soldier attracted young people as well as professionals and enabled direct, multilingual conversations about the Slovak pavilion, individual exhibitors, and the activities of the Ministry of Defence. The Hologram Box and holographic wall demonstrated a vision for digital onboarding, presentation, and public education, confirming the Ministry’s readiness for new technologies.

For norriv, IDET 2025 served as a platform to validate its technology in a demanding environment. The Hologram Box, 3D holographic displays, and AI-powered avatars performed flawlessly in real operation before both professional and general audiences. This realization now stands as a reference example for further applications of holograms in defense, education, and public administration.

How Holograms and AI Avatars Are Changing Defense

Holographic technology is changing how armed forces and the public sector communicate and present their mission. At IDET 2025, terms like hologram, hologram box, 3D hologram, holographic projection, holographic display, AI holographic avatar, holobox, digital avatar, and holographic wall became a reality.

Real 3D hologram videos, interactive avatars, and large-format holographic displays create unforgettable experiences that go far beyond traditional screens. The ability to conduct multilingual, AI-driven communication through digital avatars ranks holography among the key tools for a modern military and public administration.

Conclusion

The public, non-commercial collaboration between norriv and the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic at IDET 2025 set a new standard for digital innovation in the defense sector. The first Slovak AI holographic soldier in the Hologram Box, together with the large-format holographic wall, demonstrated that 3D holograms and AI avatars can fundamentally transform communication, presentation, and public education. This project proves that with vision, know-how, and the right technology, Slovakia is ready to be among the leaders in digital engagement and defense.
