Summary

Agrokomplex Nitra is Slovakia’s flagship agricultural fair, celebrating its 50th international edition and bringing together more than 92,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors from 9 countries over five days. As the national showcase for agriculture, livestock and food production, the organizers wanted the anniversary year to feel different – more innovative, more engaging and more aligned with the future of rural development.

Instead of relying only on traditional welcome banners, printed maps or loudspeaker announcements, the organizers – in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic – set out to create a memorable first contact point for visitors entering Hall A. They needed a solution that could combine heritage, storytelling and next-gen technology into a single experience.

To achieve this, Agrokomplex partnered with norriv, a Slovak pioneer in holographic technology and AI holographic assistants. At the entrance to Hall A, norriv deployed a full-size Hologram Box with an AI holographic shepherd in traditional Slovak dress – the first installation of its kind at an agricultural fair.

The AI shepherd:

  • Welcomed visitors in multiple languages.
  • Explained key zones of the fair, from livestock and machinery to rural innovation.
  • Answered common questions in real time using interactive hologram dialogue.

The result was a highly visible, interactive entry point that merged folklore with immersive technology, showing how holographic technology and AI can elevate visitor experience even in traditional sectors like agriculture.

The challenge: Turn a busy fair entrance into an engaging, digital-first touchpoint

As the 50th edition, Agrokomplex 2025 carried symbolic importance. Over five days, 92,158 visitors passed through the fairgrounds to explore livestock exhibitions, national showcases, machinery, food producers and educational programs. In such an environment, the main entrance and the access to Hall A play a critical role: they form the first impression and shape how visitors navigate the space.

The organizers faced several concrete challenges.

1. High visitor volume and fragmented attention

With tens of thousands of visitors of all ages, from school groups to farmers and institutional representatives, the traditional tools – printed guides, static signage or paper maps – were struggling to:

  • Capture attention in the first seconds after entering the hall.
  • Provide clear orientation without overloading visitors with information.
  • Serve both local audiences and international guests efficiently.

2. Balancing heritage with innovation

Agrokomplex is strongly tied to Slovak rural culture, livestock traditions and local food. For the 50th anniversary, the organizers wanted to:

  • Respect and highlight traditional symbols, such as the shepherd and sheep.
  • At the same time demonstrate that Slovak agriculture is open to innovation, digitalization and new technologies.
  • Avoid a purely high-tech aesthetic that might feel disconnected from the fair’s roots.

Finding a format that could connect heritage storytelling with futuristic displays was key.

3. Improving information delivery at the gate

Classical welcome speeches, printed schedules and static roll-ups often fail to answer the practical questions visitors have in the first minutes, such as:

  • Where can I find livestock, machinery or food producers?
  • Which hall hosts educational programs or innovation zones?
  • What time do key demonstrations or roundtables take place?

The organizers needed a solution that could:

  • Deliver structured information in an engaging, bite-sized way.
  • Scale to thousands of interactions per day without requiring extra staff.
  • Work as an augmented reality alternative – no apps, headsets or devices needed.

4. Showcasing Slovak innovation on a national stage

Finally, Agrokomplex wanted to use the 50th edition to highlight Slovak technology and innovation capacity. Partnering with a domestic provider of holographic projection technology from Slovakia would:

  • Support local innovators.
  • Demonstrate concrete use of holographic technology for events in a real-world context.
  • Signal to visitors and partners that agriculture can effectively use next-gen marketing tools and interactive holographic marketing solutions to communicate complex topics in a modern way.

Solution: AI holographic shepherd in a Hologram Box at the entrance to Hall A

To address these challenges, Agrokomplex and the Ministry of Agriculture partnered with norriv, one of the few companies worldwide designing and manufacturing its own Hologram Box systems. The joint team designed a turnkey solution built around two core elements: a full-size Hologram Box and an AI holographic assistant styled as a traditional Slovak shepherd.

1. Strategic placement and hardware setup

The installation was positioned directly at the entrance to Hall A – a natural bottleneck through which a large portion of the 92,000+ visitors passed during the fair.

The setup included:

  • A large Hologram Box with a life-size holographic avatar standing in a realistic 3D environment.
  • Integrated sound system optimized for noisy trade fair conditions.
  • Hidden computing unit providing real-time AI responses and content management.
  • Clean, robust frame suitable for five days of continuous operation in a high-traffic zone.

This ensured that the AI holographic assistant could operate as a digital host, functioning both as innovative signage and as an always-available information point.

2. AI holographic shepherd in traditional attire

The avatar was carefully designed to match the context of the event:

  • Clothing: authentic shepherd outfit inspired by Slovak rural tradition, including hat, vest and accessories recognizable to local visitors.
  • Persona: friendly, approachable guide speaking in a warm, conversational tone.
  • Language support: multiple languages, aligned with Agrokomplex’s international audience.

The result was a character that felt familiar and authentic, yet was clearly powered by cutting-edge AI holographic assistant technology.

3. Conversation flows and content design

norriv’s team prepared structured conversation flows tailored to the specific needs of the fair. Typical interactions included:

  • Program and navigation support

    • Providing information about livestock exhibitions, agricultural machinery zones, food producers, educational activities and innovation pavilions.
    • Directing visitors to specific pavilions (for example, livestock in one area, food producers in another).
  • Educational content

    • Sharing short facts about livestock breeds, crop innovations and rural development programs.
    • Explaining how modern technology supports sustainable agriculture.

The dialogue was built to be modular and repeatable, allowing the AI holographic assistant to handle hundreds of micro-interactions per hour without fatigue, making it a powerful example of AI holographic assistant for business and public events.

4. Implementation and support

norriv delivered a full end-to-end implementation:

  • Technical planning and integration with fair logistics.
  • Holographic content production and avatar design.
  • On-site installation, testing and calibration prior to opening day.
  • Monitoring and support during the event to ensure continuous, stable operation.

From the visitor perspective, the system functioned as a plug-and-play immersive technology solution: no apps, no registration, just walk up, listen, interact and move on.

Results: Higher visibility, smoother visitor flow and a new benchmark for agricultural fairs

The AI holographic shepherd quickly became one of the most photographed and talked-about elements at the entrance to Hall A, symbolizing how tradition and innovation can coexist.

1. Strong first impression for tens of thousands of visitors

Given the location and overall visitor numbers, the Hologram Box and AI avatar were exposed to thousands of people per day over the five-day fair. Instead of a static banner or standard roll-up, visitors were welcomed by:

  • A full-size 3D hologram speaking directly to them.
  • Clear, structured information about what to expect inside.
  • A visually striking 3D hologram display for events that signaled a premium, future-oriented experience.

This significantly improved the perceived quality of the entrance zone and set a modern tone for the rest of the visit.

2. Reduced pressure on staff and clearer navigation

Traditionally, staff at the entrance spend much of their time answering the same basic questions: where to go, what to see first, how to find specific halls. With the AI holographic assistant:

  • Many of these repetitive queries were handled directly by the hologram.
  • Staff could focus on ticketing, security and more complex visitor needs.
  • Visitors received consistent, standardized information in an engaging format, helping smooth the flow into Hall A.

The AI holographic assistant effectively operated as a digital wayfinding and information hub, illustrating how interactive holograms can complement human teams at large public events.

3. Enhanced brand perception and media visibility

The combination of traditional shepherd attire and futuristic holographic projection created a strong visual story: heritage meets high tech. This concept resonated not only with visitors, but also across social media and partner communications.

Key outcomes included:

  • Organic photos and videos of the AI shepherd shared by visitors.
  • Coverage on norriv’s channels and partner platforms highlighting the first AI holographic shepherd in Slovakia.
  • Strong positioning of Agrokomplex and the Ministry as early adopters of innovative visual communication and holographic advertising in the agricultural sector.

This helped differentiate the 50th anniversary edition from previous years and supported Agrokomplex’s ambition to be seen as a modern, forward-looking fair.

4. Reusable holographic asset for future events

Because the installation is based on norriv’s Hologram Box and AI holographic assistant platform, the solution is not limited to a single event. The same hardware and much of the content can be:

  • Reused at future editions of Agrokomplex or regional fairs.
  • Adapted with new conversation flows for specific themes, such as sustainability, innovation or education.
  • Extended to other environments, for example ministry events, trade missions or regional roadshows.

This transforms the project from a one-off experiment into a scalable holographic projection technology investment with long-term value.

In summary, the project delivered:

  • A highly visible, interactive welcome point at the entrance to Hall A.
  • Smoother navigation and reduced information load on staff.
  • Stronger innovation positioning for Agrokomplex and its institutional partners.
  • A reusable holographic asset ready for future agricultural communication initiatives.

Conclusion and next steps

The Agrokomplex 2025 project shows how holographic technology, 3D visualization and AI holographic assistants can transform even traditional events like agricultural fairs into modern, interactive experiences. By combining a full-size Hologram Box with an AI shepherd in traditional dress, norriv helped the organizers turn a standard entrance into a dynamic communication hub that guided visitors, told a story and showcased Slovak innovation.

Looking ahead, the same concept can be:

  • Expanded with additional personas – for example, AI holographic assistants representing young farmers, researchers or chefs.
  • Connected to real-time data about programs, capacity and schedules to provide even more personalized guidance.
